Gossip Girl Series Review

Many people have been fans of the hit television show Gossip Girl. The show Gossip Girl started its first season in 2007, and ended its last season last year. Gossip girl is a hit drama that is based off the Gossip Girl book by Cecily von Ziegesar. Gossip Girl is about the trouble that living on the Upper East Side of New York bring. The Upper East Side is where this show takes place. Gossip Girl is about someone online who is blogging about the lives of 5 friends.
The two main female characters are Serena Van Der Woodsen who is a typical Upper East Side girl that has everything she could ever want, except for a father who can meet her needs. There is also Blair Waldorf, who is best friends with Serena, most of the time. Blair also has a great life, with her mother owning her own fashion line, and having the best boyfriend. Then there are the three main male characters: Dan Humphrey, Chuck Bass, and Nate Archibald. Nate and Chuck are both very rich teenagers that live on the Upper East Side. Dan on the other hand is a poor boy from Brooklyn, who can only afford to go to the Upper East Side school because of scholarships he receives. You would think the life of an upper east sider would be easy, but with Gossip Girl in these teens way, they can’t get away with anything. Since this show was on television for so long, obviously there was a lot of drama. Actually there was so much drama, this is the only reason that the Gossip Girl writers and directors were able to keep their jobs. From breakups, to divorces, to betrayal, you see it all on Gossip Girl. Throughout the entire season, you don’t know who this mysterious Gossip Girl is, that is ruining all these stuck up kids lives. That is until the very end of the last season when it is revealed who the real gossip girl is.
I personally didn’t hear about this show until about a year ago, when I was browsing Netflix. But let me tell you this show sure is addictive. I spent my whole summer watching 5 seasons of Gossip Girl. This show isn’t even that good considering that it’s just about all the gossip and drama. A lot of the drama is really stupid, but the characters are so stuck up that the writers of the show can drag it out for so long. But the producers always leave you not wanting to wait for the next episode. Overall if you like drama, this is the show for you, but if you are looking for something a little more original then I would recommend Gossip Girl.
